Alright, enough screwing around. Here's what you need to do. Go to your local retail store. Find out when the next tire sale is planned. Usually, stores have at least a few sales per year, often times around the holidays. Ask if you can get an extra discount beyond the sales price if you purchase two complete sets of cheap mud tires. That's right, offer to purchase two sets. Obviously, get one set on your truck or car. With the other set, post an offer on Craigslist for a reduced price. When you get someone willing to buy, let them know that someone else is also interested in purchasing. This will "motivate" the person making the offer to close the deal quickly.
Of course, you could always do what you are doing now - search for low priced mud tires on the Internet (or Internut as I like to call it). Surf around, follow the links that provide more information. It won't take long for you to find great deals on mud tires.

Secret for buying mud tires cheap
I'll let you in on a little secret about cheap mud tires, specifically the Interco Super Swamper Narrow Mud tire. The narrow profile is what you need for getting more grip on the trail. With less surface area touching the ground, there is more pounds per square inch. Kind of like getting stepped on by a woman's high heel shoe versus an elephant's foot. Sure, the elephant's foot on yours hurts - but the woman's high heel with more pounds per square inch is going to hurt a heck of a lot more - especially is she is angry. Trust me.
